What Causes Right-sided Lower Abdominal Pain While Bladder Or Colon Is Full?
Question: I get a pain in my lower stomach on the right hand side when I lie on it at night, especially when my bladder is full, or I need a bowel movement. I don't have pain at any other time. I get up once per night to empty my bladder. Should I be worried about this pain?

Hello,Welcome to the HCM,
Since there are many reasons which can cause right side abdomen pain.But from your history ,it is mostly with full bladder,so the probable cause could be appendicitis.
As appendix omentum (fat covering layer) shares same space as bladder ,so possibly it is causing irritation of inflammed appendix when the bladder is full and causes pain.Other reason could be muscle spasm which should be relieved after taking pain killers .
But it is better you get an ultrasound abdomen,full blood count and urine routine test done to rule out any appendix or bladder infection.
