What Causes Right-sided Pain Below Shoulder Blade, Intermittent Constipation Or Diarrhea And Chills?
Question: I am having pain in my right side below right shoulder blade. been hurting for at least 2 months. had kidneys scoped 2 weeks ago. no stones kidney stones found, though I do have history of kidney stones. also have had extensive spine surgeries. had mri of lumbar 2 weeks ago and lumbar area is fine. I have now had chills for 4 day and am sweating. stools are light brown. I go from constipation to loose bowels. also nauseated. especially after eating.

Clinical picture makes me think of enteric fever..Basic hemogram(complete blood count) can help me figure out the diagnosis. I advise Pan-D twice for 3 days 40 mins before food and encourage oral fluids like tender coconut water,fresh juices as tolerated..you can add yoghurt or bifilac XXXXXXX twice a day after regular meal.Fever medication not needed at this point..

they did a complete blood profile just a few weeks ago. all was ok. pain has been happening for at least 2 months.

You seem to have developed gastritis( H.pylori bacteria induced)
If am your treating physician,would have advised clarithromycin 500mg twice a day ×14 days
PPI drug---esomeprazole 20 mg twice a day 30 mins before food ×14 days
Cap.amoxy clav 625 mg twice a day for 14 days. It is a prescription medicine and you will need to see a doctor for it.
For immediate pain relief, you can take mucaine gel 15 ml when needed..
