Brief Answer:
Needs evaluation, like sore throat, sinusitis or migraine

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. Right side pain in head, swollen throat and tongue numbness could be sore throat, viral infection of the throat, sinusitis etc. If she had a history of such headaches in past , migraine can also be considered in etiology.

No worries, let her take some tylenol and some antivert and see if it helps. If there has been recent cold or flu, or sinuses are congested, symptomatic relief with decongestants and salt water gargles ( add one tea spoon full of salt n 8 ounces of warm water). Use some tylenol or ibuprofen for the swollen throat and try comforting beverages like green tea, herbal tea etc mixed with honey.

Seek an internist if the home remedies fail. I hope it helps. take good care of yourself and your wife and don't forget to close the discussion please.

Khan
