Hello,
Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic for your query.
I am Dr Kumar and would be addressing your query.
Right mid back pain can be most likely muscular in origin ,it can be because of cervical or thoracic origin of pain ,it can be due cervical spondylosis also.
I would advice you to go for X ray chest PA view and LATERAL view of the cervical and thoracic spine..
Once stenosis and spondylosis is ruled out
you could ask your gp to prescribe you with -
Tab ultracet(Tramadol and Acetaminophen) twice daily for 5 days please note Nonsteroidal anti inflammatory medicines are contraindicated in patients taking cardiac medication.
and diclofenac ointment for few days !
Overuse, muscle strain, or injury to the muscles, ligaments, and discs that support your spine. Poor posture. Pressure on the spinal nerves spinal nerves from certain problems, such as a herniated disc and all these pain will typically respond to Ultracet.
Try to avoid using cushions on bed ,Dont use pillows for sleeping,Use hard bed to sleep for few days.
Follow up after a week.
Feel free to ask any other query if you have!
Thank you and Regards.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Dear,
In that case most likely its muscular sprain.
The rule of thumb is - don't do anything that reproduces your pain for the initial two or three days.
Ice is preferred for the initial two or three days post-injury. Apply ice for 20 minutes each two to three hours for the first few days until the "heat" comes out of the injury. Ice should also help to reduce your pain and swelling in traumatic soft tissue injuries, such as ligament sprains, muscle tears.
Tab ultracet(Tramadol and Acetaminophen) twice daily for 5 days please note Nonsteroidal anti inflammatory medicines are contraindicated in patients taking cardiac medication.
Apply ointment containining linseed oil and diclofenac locally over the area involved in pain.
Muscular or ligamental pain will respond to it immediately.
However a MRI of the area can vbe planned to rule out muscle tear.
Regards.
