Brief Answer:
different possible causes

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Ringing in the ears ( tinnitus) and nausea can be due to different possible causes some of these are: (1) meniere's disease- normally associated with dizziness/vertigo and in some cases, hearing loss

If dizziness/vertigo is occurring , - this is the likely cause.

Menieres can be treated with short course of medication (eg benadryl, meclizine, valium), low salt diet , in some persons , diuretics are needed eg bezide.

(2) ear infection- would require antibiotics, normally associated with pain in the ear though in some there may be initial pain which then resolves

(3)trauma to the ear

(4)age related hearing loss is one of the main causes of tinnitus

(5)excess ear wax

(6)side effect of medication- some antibiotics, lasix can cause tinnitus

(7)mass in the ear or brain- rare cause

(8)idiopathic- cause is not known

You may want to consider trying benadryl , though it is antihistamine, it can also be used to help nausea and may help with any dizziness/vertigo that you may help.
It would not specifically help tinnitus however, normally the cause of tinnitus would need to be determined if possible by physical examination and tests if needed.

Since you cannot be seen till August, the meds would help with the other symptoms.

If tinnitus related to a specific cause then treatment of that specific cause would help eg if excess wax- removal, if ear infection- antibiotics, if hearing loss- hearing aid helps somewhat

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions

Thank you,
I can't benadryl during the day due to making me groggy, I have been taking it at night so that the few bug bites I have won't and keep me awake all night.
I will try another antihistamine that I can take during the day.
Thank you again.
