Brief Answer:
"Knuckle pads" or Garrod's pads or also known as "Heloderma".

Detailed Answer:
Hello young fellow.

Welcome again to the forum and thanks for posting all the details along with pictures.

The pictures are really good resolution and I am thankful to you for the same and are really helpful in the diagnosis.

After thoroughly analyzing the pictures and correlating with the various facts provided I can get that you have the initial stage of the condition known as "Knuckle pads" or Garrod's pads or also known as "Heloderma".

To tell you simply regarding this condition: It is seen in young adults where there is presence of rough skin is present over the hands on extensor surface of hands. Later on it forms well-defined, round rough surfaced structure over the same.

I reassure you that it is simple condition and quite often seen in persons of your age. It is not infective and is not contagious too as many times we are stressed regarding touching others or we think of some causes related to infection.

It is due to unknown causes or due to genetic predisposition or acquired as a response to repetitive trauma.

In your case I can see it is more on right side and less in lfet side. I can make out you are right handed person and accordingly it can be due to repetitive trauma to hand or anything coming in contact with skin.

In my patients I suggest them to apply a high potency steroid first with salicylic acid and later on without salicylic acid. Once the skin becomes softened then I shift to medium potency steroid and in the last I go for simple moisturizing cream application for at-least 10-15 times a day.

It is just initial stage and can be very easily managed. Do not be stressed by the simple thing and just relax for the same.

Hope this information will help you. If you have any further query I will be happy to help.

Regards,

Brief Answer:
Application should not exceed beyond 2 weeks.

Detailed Answer:
Hello young fellow,

Welcome back and thanks for your follow up.

Regarding your query for cream :In my patients I suggest them aa combination of Clobetasol with salicylic acid ( such as Topisal 3% or Propysalic ) for local application.

I suggest my patients to apply for two times for two weeks and then further guidance is given according to the condition.

Moisturization of the affected area is quite beneficial if done for multiple times.

I hope these informations will help you. I will be glad to answer any further queries or if not then can close the discussion and rate the answer.
