Question : Hi there. I have a rough, scab like patch of skin on the lower part of my right leg about two inches above my ankle. It is no larger than .25 inches (perhaps smaller) and is slightly raised. I noticed it done time ago (at least a month, if not more) and I recently realized that it was still there. I have attached the best possible pictures (with and without flash) I could get of it. I appreciate your help.
Brief Answer:
Eczematous dermatitis most probably
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
You seem to have eczematous dermatitis most probably. You have small round lesion with rough surface and mild crust. You might have mild or severe itching. The lesion might remain for long time without treatment. There may be some cause. It may be some contact allergen...like house dust mite,soap,cloths,color,grass..etc..
You consult dermatologist to have firm diagnosis and treatment. However, I would like to suggest as below..
- short course of steroid in tappering dose
- local application of tacrolimus oint 0.03%
- antihistaminics
- avoid contact of suspected allergen
I hope this would help you...
Thanks.
