Question : Hi doctor, i have running nose and cough due to which whenever I cough, I have a throat pain. Can i take almox alkem 500?

Thanks for the query.

After reading your clinical history it appears that you are having
upper respiratory tract infection.

Yes , you can use almox alkem 500 mg twice daily after meal with tab allegra. But Almox alkem is a prescribed medication. You can get it with local doctor prescription.
also use Antiseptic chlorhexidine Mouth Wash twice daily & Steam Inhalation twice daily to get early relief .

If you have allergy , then you need to continue allegra till allergy subside .

Hi doctor,

Thank you for the advise. Since i also have running nose i take augmentin 625 along with allegra and becelac fortz. Is it safe to take with almox 500?

Hi XXXXXXX ,

Both drug augmentin 625 & almox 500 contain Amoxicillin 500mg .
Augmentin have Amoxicillin 500mg + clavulanic acid 125 mg .

Augmentin is better than almox since it contain clavulanic acid also . Use only one drug at a time .

So , if you have not taken complete course of augmentin earlier then you need to complete it with allegra and becelac fortz .

Also use Antiseptic chlorhexidine Mouth Wash twice daily & Steam Inhalation twice daily to get early relief .

Thank you doctor. By taking augmentin 625 along with allegra and becelac fortz will this cure throat pain as well? Everytime I cough throat pains little.

Please advise if i continue the combination of augmentin 625, allegra and becelac fortz or do i need to include almox as throat pains everytime i cough?

Almox & augmentin contain same medicine so you have to take any one at a time otherwise result in sideeffect.

If throat pain is little, it will subside by taking Antiseptic chlorhexidine Mouth Wash.
If it is more then use paracetamol 650mg twice daily.
