Question: hi, after having a dental bridge fitted recently, I'm experiencing a very salty taste in the mouth,i'll have a permanent bridge fitted soon made of porceline,the temporary one is made from acrylic, my dentist cant help. XXXXXXX

Read your query , as you have temporary crown placed made of acrylic now you feel like salty taste see what happend is salty taste in mouth can be due to some cause : Dehyradation , Bacterial infection of salivary gland , Nutritional deficiency , sinus infection (if you have sinus problem or had them in past ) or Allergic reaction sometimes causes change in taste .

For this I will suggest you some easy home remedies to avoid salty taste :
- Try not to use any tobacoo containing products .
- Avoid hot spicy food , acidic food like coffee , soft drinks , orange juice and tomatoes .
- increase fluid intake , wash your mouth with plain water also reduce salty taste .

You can do these self care remedies at home , if symptoms persists despite the aforementioned visit doctor to rule out the infection.
