Brief Answer:
Treatment depends on the type of scab.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns that you are having scab over ear drum.

Patch or scab over ear drum or in the drum are due to tympanosclerosis, due to calcium deposits secondary to ear trauma or infection. If it is causing hearing loss, it should be removed.

Patch behind the intact ear drum occurs due to cholesteatoma, needs to be removed surgically to prevent serious complications.

To comment on the patch, please upload the otoscopy report.
