Kindly elaborate certain points about the query.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome and thanks for posting your query to the forum.

I can understand your concern for the spots and lines on your upper outer front of thighs. I can see rather more prominent scratch marks and certain eruption in the pictures. I have gone though the chest picture too and the same scratch marks are visible in that picture also. In view to help you best kindly elaborate about the problem so that I can help you better.

It would be best if you can elaborate certain points about:

- Since exactly how long you are experiencing these spots and lines.

- Is it present on both the thighs or one thigh only.

- Are you experiencing these for the first time or have you experienced these before also.

- Do you feel an intense urge to scratch the area. Do you feel night itching too.

Do you wear some synthetic clothes which causes continuous friction of the area of thigh and chest area.

Hope to hear soon from your side.

"Irritant/ Contact dermatitis" : various suggestions and instructions.

Detailed Answer:
Hello young lady,

Welcome again to the forum and thanks for your further follow up.
"Irritant/ Contact dermatitis" : various suggestions and instructions
After analyzing your problem with complete details I can make out the best possibility of "Irritant/ Contact dermatitis" or in simple words allergy to contact of some irritant material on thigh area.

To explain you elaborately about the possible condition - Due to exposure to any irritant material such as friction with synthetic clothes or sometimes anything coming in contact with the areas can cause the problem. So there can be initial redness with or without itching sensation. As we scratch it or due to exposure to environmental factors such as sweating dust and hot humid/ cold climate (extreme of environment) it can get aggravated.

This is a quite simple problem which we see in our day to day practice and persist for only the time till the aggravating factor is present. So the most important part in your management is avoidance of the aggravating factor enumerated all above.

For the betterment kindly follow the suggestions below:

1. Avoid hot humid/ cold climate (extreme of environment).

2. Wear cotton clothes and avoid synthetic clothes.

3. Stay in cool environment(preferably AC) and avoid sweating.

4. Take two time bath once in morning and at night time which will soothe your skin and prevent the aggravation of the problem

5. Do not Pinch pop or squeeze or rub any area.

6. Do not use any deodorants or any cosmetics over and near the affected area.

For the part of treatment in my patients I suggest following instructions and suggestions:

1. To apply over the counter available calamine lotion on the affected area in day and afternoon time. Apply it in very thin layer.

2. To apply plane Mometasone or hydrocortisone cream in a thin layer in morning and at night time. Apply in a very thin layer so that it should not be visible to naked eye. You can apply it for 3-5 days and then stop it after that.

3. If there is any irritation or itching is present then can take tablet “Loratadine” or "Deslotatadine" tablet by mouth up to three to four times also if the itching is more.

Do not try to even touch or scratch these areas. There is scab formation at various places which will fall off in next 3-5 days.

I hope the above information will help you. If you have further queries I will be happy to help.

"Wish you good health"
