What Causes Seeing Of A Large Dot In The Visual Field Post Injury?

Question: I was hit in right eye 10 days ago with a bungee cord. My eye doctor said he could see some injury in back of eye. Put me on steroid drops 4 times/day for 2 days. Then 3 times 2 days then twice a day. I was rechecked by another doctor Friday. ( mine was out of town). Friday 6/3 doctor said he could only see 1 small red "dot". It looked much better according to first dr's notes. I was to take 1 drop a day for a week and return in 30 days. I was to let them know if anything changes.
Yesterday I flew from TN to Fl. Into 2 no connection I noticed several times ( 15+) where on far right side of right eye I would have a darkness roll from top to bottom of eye. Sort of a rolling effect. Each occurance lasted less then a second. It was much worse when I was looking to my right talking with my friend. We switched seats and it only happened 1-2 times when I was looking to my left.
Called 3rd doctor on call. He said to call my doctor Monday. Probably nothing urgent. I'm now in Florida for a week and expected to fly home friday6/10.
This morning the rolling has happened one so far. I also am noticing some lite "masses of floating like stuff". Not just a dot here and there but more solid like a cloud moves but it doesn't affect my vision. A see thru cloud do to speak. Thes floating things are gone now but definitely there upon waking in right eye. I now think I should go back to drops 4 times a day at least til I can call my doctor.
What should I do? Seek emergency care? ( no pain)
Can I fly home Friday? Is it safe?
Does flying cause this?

Brief Answer:
Post traumatic inflammation

Detailed Answer:
My dear,
Thanks for sending your query to us.
This is inflammation.Continue with steroid drops 4timea a day and I would prefer if you could see a retina specialist locally. We in our practice start with oral steroids, but that has to be done in your case under medical supervision. The possibility one being flaring up of inflammation due to early tapering of steroid drops and possibility two being swelling of retina. These two can be fifferentiated only by proper retinal examination.
These condetions may be without pain,so pain is not a criteria for rushing to emergency.
Flying is of not much concern as the aggregation of symptoms has not occurred due to flying, but due to time lapse.
These situations are worst in the morning as there has been no treatment through the night.
If it is difficult to get a specialist, then continue with drops and get back to us immediately so we could offer some help.
