What Causes Seeing Of Colors In Vision With History Of Pseudotumor Cerebri?

default
Posted on Wed, 6 May 2015
Question: My eye Dr. thought I had pseudo tumor but I could still see colors so she doesn't think it's my eyes and have been referred to a neurologist. My symptoms are visual, headaches, pain in my neck going up right side of head. My right ear aches. I an nauseous and eat crackers a lot. I'm scared and I think I am not getting anywhere. I haven't been able to work because I first had the influenza A which went to bronchitis which exacerbated my asthma. My husband says I need to get going and get back to work but I feel awful most of the time. What should I do. I'm getting a little scared. I am 56 and over weight which I know is a big part of it. In 2009 they thought I had lupus but no systemic problems except a pos ana. Are they connected.

Brief Answer:
You should have a brain MRI done.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.

I think as your husband 's think, you should go on and have a normal life.

A possible cause of your symptoms, besides pseudotumor cerebri, can be high blood pressure, I think there is need for a blood pressure monitoring for a couple of days

Another thing to do, apart neurologic evaluation is to have a brain MRI done to evaluate pseudotumor cerebri syndrome, in order to ease your mind and will check for or exclude Lupus that may affect your nervous system too.

Once again I think you should get going and have a normal life.

Try to loose weight too, it will improve your symptoms.

Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.
