Charley Horse - Cramps has many causes. At your age, most common causes would be Spinal canal stenosis or osteoporosis. I suggest you get MRI of L S Spine and a Dexa scan to assess the osteoporosis.
Treatment and prevention would depend on the diagnosis. However I suggest you take pain killers and Vit D supplementation ASAP.
