Question: Hi my wife XXXX is experiencing severe abdominal pain, she is 83years old running a slight temperature she has never had her appendix removed, she hacks a history of diverticulitis. Also she had her gall blander out over 20years ago. But last year she an Ercp to remove a stone and slug in bile duct. I want to take her to the hospital but she doesn't want to go what is your recommendations

Noted the history and understood the concerns.
If the pain is still severe it is necessary to take her to the hospital/ER as this will help to get a proper diagnosis and proper management.
But if she is not willing and if there are no other associated symptoms of bloating, nausea, vomiting or constipation/loose stools try giving her an anti-spasmodic like Dicyclomin or which ever is available at home or nearby Pharmacy and see the results within half an hour.
If the symptoms persist, needs few investigations and proper management.
