What Causes Severe Abdominal Pain And Vaginal Pain?

default
Posted on Tue, 8 Jul 2014
Question: I have had severe abdominal pain and vaginal pain plus sever constipation for almost 3 months. It seemed to start after I had started pilates. I have had an ultra sound, vaginal ultra sound, cat scan of the abdomen and bloodwork to check for diverticulitis. I think I have adhesions. Now the dr. wants me to get a colonscopy, which I will this week. I was in the emrgency room Sat night and my blood pressure was 193 over 103 because of this pain. I just got home from work and i can't stand this pain anymore..I don't know what to do? I feel like my blood pressure is still high. I am taking tylenol and at night I took a xanax that i had-weakest dose.

Brief Answer:
yes you should

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX

Welcome to HealthcareMagic.

I have read your query and understand your concern.

If the pain is not getting releived by tylenol and you are feeling that you bp is shooting up then you need to show in the emergency room.

As per your symptoms it can either be diverticulitis or adhesions following your c-section.

If your colonoscopy comes normal then i would suggest that you go for a diagnostic laparoscopy to look inside for any adhesions, and if present they can be released in the same sitting.

And better to start on antihypertensive drugs in consultantion with your doctor if your bp today also comes high.

Hope I have been helpful.

Dr. Ashish Verma
