Brief Answer:
Surgery is the recommended treatment but she can wait for few months

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.

1. Fatty liver is a common finding in ultrasound scan. Many patients have fatty liver due to their genetic linkage to obesity. Others might have it due to taking food high in fats. This is not a serious concern but lipid profile might be done and if cholesterol is high then medicines and diet restriction might help.

2. Regarding gall stones a single stone less than 10 mm can be allowed to dissolve with medicines. Your wife has more than one stone and size is not mentioned and therefore has a small risk of developing obstructive jaundice and complications from the gall stones if left without treatment.

3. However she might take a short duration risk and try to dissolve the stones by medicines and strictly following diet for next 6 months. If the stones show no reduction in size or number after 6 months then medicines might not work for her and surgery might be planned. Please discuss this matter with your surgeon. Rest of the report is normal.

Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.

Hope your query is answered.

Brief Answer:
Please request prescription from your doctor based on dose

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for writing back with an update.

1. There are medicines like ursodeoxycholic acid which might dissolve the gall stone in some patients. It is available as UDILIV and available in various strengths and taken as a daily single dose. The dose is calculated depending on body weight and is about 6-12 mg/ kg/ day and should be taken in addition to a low fat diet. This medicine might cause side effects and liver function tests are to be done regularly every 2 t o 3 months when taking it. Please approach your doctor for a prescription and take it as recommended.

Hope your query is answered.

Hi,

My Last query - My Wife always says that she is feeling some Heaviness / burden in Lower Abdomen & frequent Urination & She frequently has fever around 99; pain in legs from past many months.

All the tests were Conducted & Reports shown nothing wrong in Blood Everything was under control only pus cells were in the urine for which she had taken medicine as prescribed.... but these problems are still there...

What these Symptoms are Indicating ?? If that Infection / Pus Cells, in Urine was also due to the Stones in Gall Bladder or that is due to some other reasons ??

Thanks n Rgds XXXX

Brief Answer:
Possible antibiotic resistance to infection therefore repeat urine culture

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for writing back with an update.

1. It is possible that your wife might be having frequent urinary tract infections. If she is not getting treated by regular antibiotics then the organism might be resistant to the medicine. She should get urine culture and sensitivity test done and take a complete course of antibiotics as required. It will be good to drink adequate amount of water and visit washrooms regularly to prevent infections. This is not related to gall bladder stones in any way.

Hope your query is answered.
