Question : my husband is having cramping on and off and his blood test on LIPASE came back high? any suggestions on easing this pain, his dr will be out until Monday

You have not mentioned where the cramping is and how much is the lipase. I assume that the cramping is in the abdomen. Abdominal cramps plus significant lipase elevation suggest pancreatitis.

This is a medical emergency and requires immediate attention.

If the regular doctor is out then he should visit another doctor or the emergency room. Till then he should have a bland low fat diet and symptomatic medicines to releave the pain as required.

On the other hand, if the lipase is only minimally elevated and ultrasound or CT does not show pancreatitis, then nothing to worry.
