
What Causes Severe Back Pain While Sitting?

Question: my back has been hurting alot. when I sit it will start to hurt sometimes faster than others. whether I am standing sitting and sometimes lying down. the lower back will hurt but most of the pain is located in my upper back between my shoulder blades. I have tried a massage chair, a tens unit and some stretching. the stretching helps temporarily but doesn't make it go away. why is it doing this and how could I fix it?

lifting and bending is usually fine. sometimes I sit a while working in homework. putting a pillow to support my lower back usually helps with the pain

Hello,
Back pain in young girls is mostly due to weak muscles. Some time wrong posture also causes such pain. I would suggest you following.
1.You need to back muscle strengthening exercises at least for 6 moths to improve your muscle strength. Avoid forward bending or weight lifting.
2.Tablet Myospaz or Myoril can be taken in initial days as physiotherapy can increase your back pain.
3.Hot water fomentation and volition gel local application can be done.
4.Get MRI of the spine to see if there is disc herniation or nerve compression is there. Injection of steroid can be given if there is such pathology.
