HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Unfortunately coughs and colds can sometimes last 2 to 3 weeks in some cases.

In addition there is a condition called post viral cough where a cough persists up to 6 weeks after all of the other symptoms have resovled.

Doxycycline is an antibiotic and benzanatate is a cough suppressant.

Since you are experiencing congestion, coughing , headaches (which may be related somewhat to the congestion) you may need to add the following if you are not already doing them: (1) warm compresses to the face to help with the congestion, this would encourage drainage and can be done 2 to 3 times a day for 10 to 15 mins

(2)steam inhalation would also help with congestion as well. Add menthol or similar products to the water

(3)antihistamine decongestant combination of medication which would be over the counter eg claritine d, allegra d, benadryl d

(4)fluids and rest

(5)paracetamol/tylenol to help with the headaches and any other pain

The dizziness would be related to the illness itself and any decrease in appetite

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
