Question : Dear dr,
My wife was having flu and fever. She went to the gp and after that recovered except that she was still having some cough. The cough XXXXXXX cleared completely though. Now everytime she cough, she experience menses like blood from her vagina. And the situation is not getting better. She is pretty sure she is not having her menses now. What causes it and what can be done?

Brief Answer:
Cough syrup advised
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, thanks for trusting health care magic.
I understand your concern.
It is common to have cough after flu so not much to worry, just ask her to do warm saline gargles and take take cough syrup like Benadryl or tusq-d
As regards blood from vagina is concerned she should visit a gynecologist for examination as it is not a common feature in case she is not due for her periods.
Take care
