What Causes Severe Cough With Green Nasal Mucus?

Question: I am a 69 year old male who has been coughing for the last 4 days and blowing my nose constantly, not getting any sleep either. Mucus coming out of my nose is green. No temperature, no aches, pains etc. I was visiting my grandson who had a case of the croup. I need to stop coughing and get some sleep. What can I do ?

COugh expectorant with Ambroxol and Guaiphenesin helps

Thanks for query.
There can be a case of mutual infection in this case.
No fear and it looks to be restricted to resp tract.
You can take over the counter cough syrup with Ambroxol or Guaiphenesin. This helps besides steam inhalations.
Mucus needs to be diluted for easy expectoration.
