Question : If someone is really dizzy and weak and has been in the hospital with temperature close to hundred and five there in a nursing skill place now but there platelet some more than double what can that mean
Brief Answer:
Followup
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for the query,
It sounds like there may be a serius infection going on which contributed to the fevers. Hopefully she is on some antibiotics to take care of this process.
Regarding the platelets - these will sometimes go up if there is an ongoing infectious or inflammatory process. This may persist for a while until the infection comes under better control.
Usually with continued management of the infection, the platelet count will return closer to normal in a number of days.
