Question : I have a son that is 35 is always tired has achy muscles and fatigue. Maybe depression as well. He has light sensitivity and I have seen him wipe his eyes with a paper towel as wetness occurred.

He is on Venlafaxine for depression and is having stress at work. These could be the reasons for the symptoms he is having. He remain tired through out the day and have achy muscles and fatigue. These could be somatic symptoms of depression. For his symptoms the drug Venlafaxine should control his symptoms and if the symptoms are not controlled then we can think of adding some other drugs.

Gabapentin or Pregabalin can be added to his prescription. The drugs will help to reduce his stress and will also reduce his symptoms like tiredness or achy muscles. You should talk with his doctor for these drugs.
