Question : I have been hospitalized and in rehab facilityi for 6 months now. I was diagnosed with arachnoid and sub-dural hematomas (4). My trauma sugeon tells me I am in the 2-3% of those with similar diagnois and that perhaps I can live longer than previously thought. Question is: The past few weeks I have been suffering from severe foot pain. My therapist thinks it is caused by walking incorrectly and suggests that I get arch supports, etc. Do you think this has anything to do with the fall and the hematomas?

                                    Brief Answer:
Not connected
Detailed Answer:
Dear
I am sorry for the symptoms you are suffering
Dear It seems your physiotherapist is right
Your foot pain isn't caused directly by the haematoma
Sure it is connected, meaning that your heamatoma is the cause of not walking in the right way but it isn't the cause of your actual pain.
Beside using support it is recommended that you use pain killer at small dosage to avoid pain so you can continue walking and physiotherapy.
Hope my answer helps you
