What Causes Severe Headache Post A Chemotherapy?

Question: Hi my mom is 53 yrs old female diagnosed with Ca Breast in the month of XXXXXXX 2017 and was given two cycles of chemotherapy with FEC and as she was triple negative therefore 10days back she had severe headache therefore has gone for mri brain with contrast which was normal but the cfs was positive.

Now the doc here said she is having metastasis therefore wbrt with intrathetical mtx is prescribed

Is it right way of treatment and what will be her life span and will this radiation palliative only will help her with it mtx

Is there any hope with such a way of treatment

Hello. I have gone through the details. So if the csf is positive, it means tumor has spread to brains and the drug can omly reach brain by intrathecal route. Mtx drug is given by this route. Iam sorry to say but the life span will ve short, say around 6 to8 months. Hope you understand.

Hello again. So if you dont get her treated, survival will be in weeks and that too painful. Chemo will increase her survival upto 6 to 8 months and quality of life will improve. Intrathecal is a must. Side effects are very few n uncommon. We see side effects only once in 100 patients treated.
