What Causes Severe Headaches During Climate Change?

default
Posted on Wed, 28 May 2014
Question: I get severe head aches once in a while. This is there for many years. It is observed more during the climate change or when the sleep gets affected or when I am troubled with flum and congestion. Mostly the pain will be on one side or on the back side of the head or at times is closer to the eyes.
So far it is assumed as Migrane. How do I confirm that it is migrane and if it is migrane, is it related to flum and congestion. What should be the course of action

Brief Answer:
Migraine is clinical diagnosis by Neurologist

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

You describe it to be primary headache. Whether it is tension headache or migraine needs special history and follow up by the Neurologist. THere are no specific test to confirm the same. Congestion and infection can increase the chances of migraine.

Allergies also bring in headaches they should not be confused with migraine. They will have runny nose, phlegm production etc.

So I suggest you to meet a Neurologist and confirm the diagnosis. Treatment is available now.
