Question : Thank you,I'm currently taking Micardis 80mg Daily, Atenalol 50mg twice daily and recently started on Norvasc 2.5mg daily.--Problem, my heart beat is pounding and rapid.I'm realy concern.?

Hi and thank you for asking!
I read your query and understood your concerns.

Heartbeats and palpitations appart from discomfort doesn't cause any seriouz damage on your heart.

However, all the efforts should be done in order to exclude any problems that may be the cause of palpitations.

If you were my patient I would recommend doing the following examinations:
- Blood work to exclude anemia
- Hormonal balance (especially thyroid hormones levels)
- ECG
- Cardiac echo
- Holter monitoring
- Stress test

Incase that all these examinations will be within the norm, then you should increase the dose of atenolol.
