What Causes Severe Itching In The Groin Area?

default
Posted on Mon, 26 Dec 2016
Question: Hi! I have had itchiness around my genital area for several weeks now. No signs of anything external. It has been right around the anus, going up to the butt crack. This morning I woke up with a red birchy bump looking just like a bug bite. This evening it has turned in to several similar bumps, next to the vaginal opening, and going up in the butt crack. No blisters, just red, itchy bumps. No pain other than that from itching too much. What can it be?

Brief Answer:
Yeast infection

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I understand your concerns.

This appears to be yeast infection and nothing else.

Please wash area twice a day with soap water and keep it dry.

This will slowly reduce over a week.

Let me know if you need anymore help.
