But now when i joined the gym, i feel my left side is significantly weaker than the right, especially left arm.
You need physical therapy.
Detailed Answer:
Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Weakness and wasting of muscles is always expected after diseases and conditions that prevent muscle movement and functioning for a period of time.
Another cause of muscle weakness ( when is located in a muscle or small group of muscles in one limb) may be alterated nerve supply from nerve damage.
This could be verified with nerve conduction study ( EMG) of suspected affected nerve.
In your case most probable is the first option I gave.
I suggest you to consult a physical therapist and discuss a tailored exercise plan according to your condition, to reinforce weakened muscles.
Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.
Could it be a nerve damage.. becasue it came from no where. The only relatable thing i remember about it, that after months of no gym activity, i lifted weights 15 lbs -25 lbs.
But i doont think that the pain came next day, it was after a few days of lifting incident , the pain occured.
It could be nerve damage.
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for asking again.
There are two or three possible causes of your pain and this includes muscular pain from overstretched musle, nerve damage or compression along its way at neck herniated disc disease, or in the arm by overstretching or compression of nerve.
Another cause may be bone or articular pain.
All three conditions restrict arm movement.
Hope this helps. If you have further questions feel free to ask.
