Question : what are some things that could cause severe pain in the left side during a transvaginal ultrasound.. when i had mine done the tech apent a lot of time taking pictures of that area and it was so painful.. when she moved to the other side, she only spent a minute or two and only took two pictures.. suggestions please and thanks in advance

Pain on pressure during the procedure can be due to several causes as follows:
1. Exerting pressure with the transducer
2. Adhesions in the pelvis causing stretching effect leading to pain
3. Masses in the pelvic cavity like ovarian cysts, tubo-ovarian masses etc.
4. Inflammation
