Question: Hi, can I answer your health question? Please type your question here...
I am 25 yrs old and having a 4 months baby. After delivery by cs I am having severe leg pain in both my legs which causes me sleepless night. I have consulted with neuro specialist and taken pregabolin for 15days and then roprark 0.5 for about a month but there is no result. I am still having severe leg pain for whole night. At present another doctor has suggested me Evion 400 and NUCARNIT 500. I have some vitamins D3 deficiency. Will these EVION 400 and NUCARNIT 500 work to me. Please suggest.

Brief Answer:
The cause of pain needs to be diagnosed.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for posting your query.

I am Dr Sudhir Kumar, Neurologist, and I would try my best to help you.

I have noted your clinical details. Based on this, it seems to be neuropathic pain. However, we need to find out the cause for the same. In some cases, there could be pinching of nerves in the lower back. This would require doing MRI scan of the lumbar spine.

Serum calcium level also needs to be checked.

You have been treated with correct medicines. The correct dose of pregabalin is 150-300 mg per day in two divided doses. If you have not taken pregabalin in that dose, it may be worth taking the correct dose. You would feel better with medicines.

I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.

Wishing you good health,
