Brief Answer:
Get serum electrolytes checked.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have read your query.

Leg cramps are common at your age group especially if you are doing jobs which need prolong standing, running, upstairs, climbing etc.

Also there are other causes like electrolyte imbalance of sodium, calcium, potassium, magnesium.

In some patients its due to dehydration.

Diabetic patients are more having this crampy legs.

So I advise you to have serum electrolyte levels checked and send me the report.

Till then have painkillers and muscle relaxant like tab.aceclofenac100mg +thiocolchicoside4mg twice a day by prescription of your family doctor as this is not over the counter drug.

You may discuss all this with your doctor also, if needed he may advise you tab. levocarnitine depending upon your physical examination.

Have balanced diet with fruits.

Drink a lot of water and juice etc.

Avoid running and prolong standing.

Avoid alcohol and smoking.

Do yoga daily.

If you follow my advise then you will be benefited more.

Thanks,

Brief Answer:
Once a week, but get investigate also.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for the response myfriend, pedialyte is for patients having dehydration i.e having headache, vomiting, diarrhea, etc its not for cramps that you have, I have enumerate dehydration is only one of them, its not mandatory for you to have cramps due to diarrhea.

You have to undergo the serum tests which I had already explain to you.

Although you can take pedialyte if you have already bought, but take it once a week if you don't have other symptoms of dehydration.

Thanks,
