Question : Hi I have been sick for some weeks now with severe nausea and vomiting. Vomiting starts around 5pm at night. I saw my dr today and he did a urine test that was a funny colour and had something white floating in it. History: family history of polycystic disease. I haven't s shown any signs of it thought. Me: 34 yrs old with a 3 year old. Been using condoms. Last period 1 July. What do you think is causing this? What is the white thing in the urine?

Hi,

If you are a woman, pregnancy must first be ruled out. Second, did your urine have protein, nitrite, glucose, or anything else in it? How about blood tests? serum creatinine? Nausea can be caused by many things, kidney disease, gastritis, ulcer, gallstones, reflux, dehydration.

It is difficult to say what the white thing in the urine is. What color is the urine? It would be helpful if you had a photo of it.
