Question : I have had this on going problem since August 3.
The inside side of my penis feels irritated specifically the inside of the head area.

I have seen 2 doctors. I family doctor and a urologist.
The first doctor (August 6)prescribed me 1 week of cipro. The second (August 23)prescribed me 2 weeks of cipro.
I was starting to feel better, but it seems like this is not going to away.
I don't have any colored discharge, sometimes I have some clear liquid coming out. But I just thought that was normal.
This sensation comes and goes during the day. Sometimes it feels like an itch other times it feels like a sharp pain. On a scale of 1 to 10 its like a 1 or less.
It does not burn when I pee, it does not hurt when I have sex or ejaculate. No colored discharge.

Both doctors did not run any std tests, they said no need. They did both run in house urine test. They said it came back negative.
I just want to know what this is. I I had protected sex and received unprotected oral July 6.i started to feel this way early August.
Could this be related?? Could it be an std?

Brief Answer:
Yeast infection or irritant balanitis are the possibilities.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Thanks for posting your query.

First of all Urologist are rather surgical specialist and not a medical specialist. I recommend you to consult a Dermato-venereologist.

When there is no ulcer on your penis Tablet Cipro is not the drug of choice for pain or burning sensation over the inner aspect of foreskin. Clear fluid comes occasionally is prosemen or precum, a normal secretion appears during sexual excitement. Not to bother about the same.

Two possibilities for your problem:

1. A mild yeast infection
2. Irritant or bacterial balanoposthitis

These possibilities can cause the symptoms explained by you.
A close inspection and few investigation will confirm the diagnosis. Unprotected oral sex can cause the same.

Nothing serious. Consult your Dermatovenereologist and get well soon.

My discomfort is more inside the penis in the head area. Would that still be the same possibility? Would this be std related?

Brief Answer:
Yeast can occur as STD and also as a non-STD.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.
Yes I mean it. Your glans penis ( the bulb like portion covered by foreskin) possibly got affected. In that situation your symptoms are same as that of balanitis.
Nothing to worry. Easily manageable. Consult a Dermatolo-venereologist.
