Question : 3 days ago I started having a pain in the center of my stomach and a gurgling sound in my stomach each time the gurgling sound if finished the pain recedes for a few minutes.I have always had trouble with my stomach but it was under control until a week ago I had a sore throat and the Doctor prescribed Amoxicillin 500MG and after 6 days that's when the trouble started I am having difficulty eating any food what I want to know is what should I do to improve these symptoms?
I pain comes every 3 to 4 minutes and lasts for about 5 to 10 seconds and with no food the pain is less frequent, on a scale of 1 to 10 the pain is about 6
My blood pressure is 135/78 and no fever.
The doctor did a urinalysis test yesterday and she said the everything was normal.
Another thing that might be important is for the last month I had a few tension headaches so I used a powdered Aspirin product called BC Pain Reliever this might have added to this issue .I missed a question earlier re: what medications have I tried so here is the answer:
For the last year I have been taking Omeprazole Delayed release tablets 20MG 1 in the morning - Ranitidine tablets 150 MG 1 befor bed - GAS X Simethicone 125 as needed for gas - I have also been using TUMS every few hours for the lats 3 days to try to relieve some symptoms

Hello Do not worry

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to HCM
Thank you for your query
I understand your concern
You likely have a long standing acidity problem and a sensitive stomach
Your symptoms have been aggravated by the medications like aspirin and amoxycillin that you have taken.
You can take a probiotic like vsl 3 along with a mild antispasmodic like mebeverine to relieve your symptoms after consulting your physician
In addition can take curd and buttermilk which work like probiotics too.
In addition try following things
-Eat on time, small meals at regular intervals
-Sleep adequately for 7 hours
-Exercise regularly
-Avoid pain killers can take paracetamol instead which is safe for stomach
-Avoid sleeping two hours after meals
If symptoms still persist worthwhile getting an ultrasound of stomach and endoscopy to look for ulcers in stomach
Hope this answers your questions
Wish you a speedy recovery
