Hi, Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.
I went through your query and understood your concerns.
I need some details to explain in a better way.
Since when are you having this problem?
Does severity of pain changes with change in neck position?
Is it persistent during rest also?
Common cause for these type of pain is nerve compression in the neck, could be arthritis of neck vertebrae or degenerative changes.
If a patients comes to me with these symptoms first i would like to get complete history and examination. Depending on examination findings i do ask them to get X-ray of neck and some times MRI test required in few cases.
I advice my patients with Physical therapy- posture therapy, anti inflammatory medications to reduce inflammation and pain. These measures should help to reduce your symptoms.
Any changes in X-ray needs to be treated accordingly.
Hope i answered your query. Feel free to ask further related query.

it's not continuous... I get it after I wake up be it in the afternoon or morning... I've been facing this since yesterday... it gets deep whenever I try to take a deep breath... changing my neck position doesn't affect the pain... I feel it on the upper shoulder between the blades..
Muscle spasm
