What Causes Severe Pain In Back And Shoulder Blades?

Question: Hi i am a 38 year old female qith a pain in back seems like shoulder blade area very annoying and painful should i be worried?
Brief Answer:
Muscular pain most probably.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to HCM.
From all these facts you have posted here,it is most likely a muscular pain which could be related to certain posture and highly unlikely to be due to some internal issue or spine related. So there is no need to worry much.
So,I will advise you NOT to bother about any other issue and to take over the counter pain killers (like naproxen 400 or diclofenac 100) for symptomatic relief from this pain.
Topical pain killer gel would also be helpful.
Hope this will help and let me know if you need anymore help further.

I took advil earlier it went away for a few goyrd but now it feels like a burning sensation in my whole back and like in my abdominal area my upper back from left to right bothers me.
Brief Answer:
Take symptomatic treatment.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the reply and sorry for the delayed answer since I was quite busy in the morning time.
Your back pain with burning feeling could be related to acute gastritis either due to advil itself or some other reason but it needs only symptomatic treatment if the symptoms are not troublesome.
So, you should take advil along with food and antacid like pantoprazole 40mg or ranitidine 150mg which is available over the counter.
Digene gel will also be helpful if you have gastric burning.
Ensure that you maintain proper fluid intake with electrolytes balance.
Take bed rest for 1 day and maintain posture which is comfortable to you.
We may expect to see improvement within couple days and if not then it will need further evaluation by complete clinical examination by some local doctor with some routine blood works and other relevant tests.
Also check your thyroid profile if not done earlier.
Mostly there is nothing to bother much since it requires only symptomatic treatment.
Hope this helps and let me know if I can help you more.
