Posted on Mon, 3 Aug 2015
Question: Why do my Bowels smell like burnt rubber and I never have a real bowel movement. Also, I've had extreme pain on lower my right side that's gotten so painful that I can't take it. Also, I don't urinate nearly as much the liquids I consume. Additionally, I've taken two urinalysis two months in a row and dr said blood in my pee that I had 23 bloods in my urine. What can this be? I can't even do the lightest exercise because of the pain that doesn't go away.

Brief Answer:
Request admission in hospital, if severe pain.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXX and welcome to HCM.
Your concern is understandable.
As you're having severe pain in your abdomen, you may request your doctor to admit you. Then your pain may be relieved with pain killer injections, if needed.
Also, a preliminary ultrasound scan of abdomen, may give information, as to reason for your pain. According to pain you describe, it could be due to a stone.
The CT scan is even more accurate .A laxative for having a proper bowel movement may also be given by your doctor.
If you drink 10 glasses of water, upto 6 glasses will be passed out as urine.
Drinking 10-12 glasses liquids( including water),daily is healthy in your case.
Don't strain till the pain doesn't subside completely. A scope inside the bladder helps to know source of the bleeding.
Feel free to contact me any time. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
