Brief Answer: different possible causes Detailed Answer: Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic There can be different possible causes for his pain but he should actually visit a doctor for assessment. Some of the causes are: (1) infection- infection of the testes or nearby structures such as the epididymis can cause pain (2)trauma to the testes- if he injured the testes in anyway , it could be the cause of his pain (3)testicular torsion- this is a condition where the testes twists inside the scrotum. It is an emergency (4)kidney stones can actually cause pain in the testes (5) cancer of the testes The only way to determine the cause of the pain would be an examination by his doctor. It would be best to do this as soon as he can I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
