Question: I've been having severe chest pain off and on for months. It doesn't matter whether I have or have not eaten. It feels as if my chest is being crushed. I can't sit or lie down, just stand and pace. I can't breathe. I moan loudly because it is that painful. This episode tonight is going on 2 & 1/2 hours. Tonight, I suddenly and abruptly had projectile vomiting.

Brief Answer:
You may take a pain killer and pantodac temporarily.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX

Thanks for posting your query on HCM.

I would like to know some more about your chest pain like location of the pain, what aggravates it or lessens it, any associated fever cough, any allergies, any vomiting etc. Do you suffer from excess acid secretion?

Have you shown to your PCP?

There are many causes of chest pain and since your pain is so severe you need to get yourself investigated. At least routine blood tests, ecg, x Ray chest and a ultrasound abdomen should be done straightaway.

For immediate relief you may take a pain killer like ibuprofen or diclofenec along with a pantodac tablet.

In my opinion you should consult your PCP and get the tests done because taking pain killers without a proper examination is not advisable.

I hope this answers your query. Do let me know ifvi can be of any more help.
