Question : I get pain on left half below rib level (abdomen) when I am sleeping. The pain starts later in the night usually after 2 AM which disturbs my sleep. I have a lump inside on left side below the rib level since some years which is confirmed by sonography. I have office sitting job 9 hours daily. I have lower back pain too if pressed. I do exercise and walk daily since many years. I feel its a combination of lower back pain + lump which is disturbing the sleep. When I get up in morning this pain subsides. Any suggestions or cure or tests required. Which specialist to meet for diagnosis, if any ?

Brief Answer:
Please upload the reports

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone carefully through the details provided. However, I would need the details of the lump. Could you please upload the ultrasonography report using the facility on the upper right of this page? I need to know whether it is a bony / cartilagenous lump (as in costochondritis) or whether it is due to distended gall bladder. I would await your inputs. Based on that I would be able to guide you further.

If it goes in favor of costochondritis, you would need to see either a GP or an orthopedician. In case of gall bladder pathology it could vary between an internal medicine specialist or a surgeon. I would be able to confirm after you share the details.

Regards
