Question : I'm at 6 weeks post op TKR and have developed sever pain in the shim directly below replacement , I wasn't in much pain before this and none in the shin
Brief Answer:
Please go in to be evaluated.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome,
It is not normal for there to be an increase in pain 6 weeks after knee replacement. And especially severe pain.
Please call your orthopedic doctor's office to tell him or her what is happening. He or she will likely want you to either come in to their office for evaluation, or have you go to an urgent care clinic (or if none, then the ER) for exam and X-rays to see what is going on.
Please don't wait to take action on this, as it is not normal.
I hope this information helps.
