Question : My son in law is in extreme pain. Cancer all through the body. He gets no relief, Opiods no longer have any effect. How can the pain be relieved.?

hello dear. it will be difficult to control pain in terminal stage

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. I understand your concern. It is actually very difficult to control pain in terminal stage of disease. However a combination of intravenous analgesic drug like diclofenac and opioid like continuous fentanyl infusion or buprenorphine can be tried. Selective neurolysis for localised pain is also an option and can be discussed with anesthetist.
