What Causes Severe Sore Throat, Cough And Swollen Nasal Passage?

default
Posted on Mon, 25 Apr 2016
Question: hi. I have seen a doctor who tells me I have sinusitis which is causing my severe sore throat and cough. I do feel my nasal passages are swollen, but it is the sore throat and hacky cough that is a nightmare. So painful it makes me cry. I also have laryngitis. I am on amoxicillin, 2 full days now, with NO relief at all. Could this be something else?

Brief Answer:
Sinusitis and sequela

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. Sore throat and cough are common sequelae of sinusitis and laryngitis involvement is the result as well. No worries. its nothing but upper respiratory tract infection with sinusitis. Just continue the same treatment, add some advil or any other anti inflammatory to it. use home remedies along with it like steam inhalation, salt water gargles, rest your voice, warm comforting beverages and use of humidifiers etc.

I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
