Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for asking on HCM!

Regarding your concern, I would explain that her symptoms could be related to gastro-esophageal reflux or esophageal spasms.

Anxiety could also mimic this clinical scenario.

As her tests resulted normal the fist time in the ER, they will probably result normal even this time.

I would recommend trying an antiacid or omeprazole.

Does her situation change during respiration or body movements? This would indicate possible musculo-skeletal issue. In such case, I would also advice taking ibubrofen 400 mg besides the antiacid.

It is necessary having some rest in the next hours.

If her situation does not improve with the above measures, I would recommend going to the ER for some tests ( a resting ECG, cardiac enzymes, complete blood count, PCR, sedimentation rate).

Hope to have been helpful!

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri
