Question : I believe I have a cracked molar and I am flying today for business and I am in crazy pain is it the cabin pressure causing additional pain?
Brief Answer:
Yes, its aerodontalgia
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing in.
Your prediction is correct, its aerodontalgia that is pain in tooth that occurs in air due to fall in pressure with increased altitude resulting in entrapped air between decayed tooth causing pain.
You need to go for proper clinical and radiographic diagnosis, if there is some faulty restoration it needs to be repeated, if there is decayed tooth then go for Root Canal Treatment or extraction as required.
Meanwhile you may start with analgesic and antibiotic as required.
Hope I answered your query
Wishing you good health
