
What Causes Sharp Abdominal Pain, Constipation And Cold?

Question : have a grandson 12 yrs. nka no previous illness , besides normal colds and flu kinda thing. Has been complaining of abdominal pain,from general to sharp pain , tried tums seemed to have minimal effect ,and skipping spicy foods . Parents seem to account to possibly ,that new school which he does not like ,is the problem, calling every week to come home , but this last week the complaint has been daily thru weekend . i understand that stress can be a cause , and adolesence is trying , urination has been normal , some constipation at times , no fever ,or nauseousness . school nurse seems at a loss ,as to a cause or whether to seek medical treatment / . any advise would be helpful thank you
