Question : 34 yr old male. Sudden sharp chest ains with dizziness and shortness of breath, as well as bright red face, arms, and hands lasting approx 3 hrs with growing intensity. Episode followed physical activity of digging hole. Smoker,heavy drugs during teens. Ekg shows slight irregular beat, but could be his normal. Bp in normal range afterwards. Takes bp meds.5'9", 190lbs. 1 to 2 six packs beer per week. Has had chest pains before without the redness and not as severe maybe three to five times in last five yrs. Not under unusual stress. Fairly active lifestyle. Dr suggested daily aspirin and stress tests. Blood work not back yet. Diagnosis?

The symptoms you have experienced might be related to possible angina (cardio-vascular event). If I was your caring doctor will also ask to do stress test together with Ct-scan angiography to understand the status of your heart blood vessels. Furthermore, as you are consuming beer every week, I suggest stop drinking alcohol. I also advise to keep monitoring BP regularly and to avoid work overload.
