What Causes Sharp Pain In Knee Which Lasts For A Minute?

Question: For the last few days, I've had a sharp pain, which lasts under a minute, in the back of my right knee. it occurs without warning, not at any particular time of day, not more than once or twice a day. I just wonder what it could be. I don't exercise, unfortunately, and I haven't done anything out of the ordinary.

thank you for such a prompt reply. I actually have no other symptoms; I have no trouble bending or straightening my knee and i can do stairs. Except when this flash of pain occurs, I am totally fine. The strangeness of this situation, more than anything, is what prompts me to write. (Also, now that I am part of the Healthcare magic group, it is easy to access an excellent medical opinion.)

First of all thanks for your appreciation of our services.I have gone through your reply carefully and I am quite hopeful of improvement with the treatment as discussed earlier and if the problem persists I would recommend a MRI of knee to rule out meniscus (a c shape cartilage ) injury.
